Simon tries to show a Pro Bowlers form

It may have been about 2 weeks overdue, but we finally celebrated Jesse's birthday. His birthday request was to go bowling. Yesterday afternoon we celebrated Jesse's 17th birthday and cousin Logan's 13th birthday with cake, ice cream, gifts and bowling. I believe I can say we all had fun, but other then Randy we were all disappointed in our bowling ability. While most of us have achieved our status of Pro Bowler on the Wii, in real life it was a much different story. Randy had an all-time high score of 187, the rest of us were lucky to score over 100.

We Miss You Kesha

It was great to have Kesha home for a 10 day visit. She wasn't able to be here for Christmas, but came back for New Years and her cousins wedding. Hannah very much enjoyed having her big sister home and was sad to see leave. This picture was taken the night before she left when Randy & I took her out for supper. Hopefully we can make it to Minnesota for a visit this spring.

Finally, A Christmas Program

The Finale "Silent Night"

Last night we finally had our church Christmas program. It had been cancelled because of weather before Christmas. Caleb, Elijah, Hannah, Reid, Avery & Autumn all participated in it. As I sat there enjoying the show I was kind of sad that Christmas was over.

We made a 3 day trip back to the Iowa City area to see in the New Year with family & friends and attend a Widmer Family get together. We spent one night at the AmericInn where my sister Julia and her girls joined us for some swimming. Shaun & Kristyn Yoder and kids also joined us later to swim. Reid was the only brave boy to make the trip, the other 5 thought it would be more fun to stay home. It was great to see the kids having fun with their cousins. We were also able to attend the New Years Eve party at Shaun & Kristyn's. As usual we had a great time, too much food and stayed up way too late.
